Jason Sanchez, a 26-year-old Guatemalan illegal immigrant, was arrested in New York City last week after he allegedly hit a 50-year-old man in the head with a rock during a robbery attempt.
An illegal alien was arrested Tuesday for allegedly beating up a 50-year-old man with a rock and attempting to steal his wallet on a Brooklyn street.
Cops nabbed Jason Sanchez, 26, after responding to a robbery-in-progress in Greenpoint around 2:35 p.m.

Sanchez was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held on multiple charges including assault, attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim of the attack suffered cuts on his face during the altercation, but he refused medical attention at the scene.
This attack by an illegal immigrant against a U.S. citizen is the latest in a series of high-profile crimes including Laken Riley’s murder, the brawl between illegal immigrants and police at Times Square and the recent attack on a New York City nurse by an illegal immigrant.
Former President Donald Trump has spoken out against what he calls “migrant crime” often over the past few months including during a trip to the southern border.
“And they’re coming from jails and they’re coming from prisons and they’re coming from mental institutions and they’re coming from insane asylums and they’re terrorists,” Trump said, adding that jails from all over the world are “emptying out” into the U.S.
Some disagree with Trump’s statement and point to data that shows illegal immigrants are no more likely than citizens to commit violent crimes — ignoring the fact that illegal immigrants’ crimes, unlike Americans’ crimes, could easily be prevented by securing the border.
Research done by Michael Light, a sociology professor at the University of Wisconsin reportedly shows no link between a person’s immigration status and their tendency to commit a crime.
“We looked at homicides… assaults, violent crimes, property crimes, traffic and drug violations. And what we find across the board is that the undocumented tend to have lower rates of crimes with all of these types of offenses,” Light claimed.
According to a recent poll, however, the American people are siding with Trump’s take on the immigration problem in America.
According to Pew Research, “When asked specifically about the impact of the migrant influx on crime in the United States, a majority of Americans (57%) say the large number of migrants seeking to enter the country leads to more crime. Fewer (39%) say this does not have much of an impact on crime in this country.”
Trump is continuing to push that narrative, and stories about violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants have not slowed down either.
“You know, in New York, what’s happening with crime is it’s through the roof, and it’s called ‘migrant,’” Trump said earlier this month. “They beat up police officers. You’ve seen that they go in, they stab people, hurt people, shoot people. It’s a whole new form, and they have gangs now that are making our gangs look like small potatoes.”
