On Thursday, a jury convicted a 71-year-old Colorado woman nicknamed “the praying grandma” for entering the Capitol Building on Jan. 6.
Rebecca Lavrenz was found guilty of misdemeanor charges, including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol Building, according to Post Millennial.
She can face a year in prison and a $210,000 fine. The great-grandmother attended the “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington D.C. to protest the official results of the 2020 presidential election.
The mother of four, grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of one has no criminal record but is being treated like a thug just because she entered the Capitol Building on Jan. 6. According to the surveillance footage, she was just walking around inside the building and spoke to a Capitol Police Officer. She spent 10 minutes inside, which was confirmed by her cell phone data.
The footage also showed her kneeling and praying inside the building, an image that has since gone viral.
“My own country is treating me like a criminal just because I believe that they stole my rightful president,” she said in a video on social media. “I was just standing up for my country, it makes me a criminal. And it’s just not right, it feels so weird to be here. Over three years ago I was here.”
Safe to say, Lavrenz has a huge social media crowd supporting her, including former President Donald Trump.
“Rebecca Lavrez, also known as the ‘J6 Praying Grandma,’ has been unfairly targeted by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, and now faces up to 1 YEAR in prison for peacefully walking around the Capitol, and praying for our Failing Nation on January 6th!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) wrote on X that Lavrez needed a presidential pardon and prayers.

X and Tesla owner Elon Musk said that what they were doing to Lavrez was “not right.”

Another user warned that Democrats are coming after conservatives and that they need to be voted out.

Another user pointed out the left’s hypocrisy by claiming that conservatives were “killing” grandmothers during the pandemic by not receiving the shot, while they arrest grandmothers for praying.

It’s nice to know that while the justice system convicts senior citizens for doing nothing wrong, it allows illegals who steal and murder to walk free. This is what President Joe Biden’s America looks like.
