Editorial Guidelines

We personally believe any news publication without a strong editorial policy is one that should be approached with caution. That’s why we’re as clear with our readers as we are with our team. We have zero tolerance for garbage reporting and any form of dishonesty. We stand behind this policy and will not tolerate anything less from our writers, editors, or sources.

Freedom of the Press

Our first amendment may give us the right to say the things we want, but it doesn’t give us freedom from the consequences attached to those words. In short, we work hard to make sure we are honoring the ideas set forth by our founding fathers by using our role as part of the country’s press to present content our readers can trust. We’re free to report – and we’re free to report with honesty and integrity – so that’s what we’ll do.

Fact-Based Reporting

You will never find opinion pieces or abject editorialization on our pages. We believe in presenting the truth in a way that leaves our readers with a stack of facts they can use to make their own decisions — completely free of editorial or even party bias.

Human Iteration

Our content is 100% written by real live human beings. Plagiarism is not tolerated, nor is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create the content you see here. At most, AI may be used as a research tool – and even then, only as a stepping stone. All of the words on our pages are written and edited by real, live members of our staff.

Transparent Corrections

As much as we hate to admit it, we may make a mistake here or there. When we do, we’ll certainly take ownership and make a quick correction. Whether a mere oversight or a result of rapidly changing news – you serve the most up-to-date and accurate news possible. Anything less is something we will take responsibility for.
