Trump Pledges To End Chinese Investment In US Infrastructure

Former President Donald Trump outlined his plan to ban Chinese companies from investing in American infrastructure.

On Truth Social, the former president emphasized the need to restrict Chinese ownership of “vital infrastructure” in the U.S.

“When I’m president, I will ensure that America’s future remains firmly in American hands, not in China’s. We need to enact aggressive new restrictions on Chinese ownership of any vital infrastructure in the United States,” he said.

Trump began his address by noting that China is “buying up” the U.S.

“While corrupt democrats and RINO-type politicians in Washington have been spending trillions of dollars on the green new deal nonsense, foolish foreign wars, and providing lavish benefits to illegal aliens from all over the planet, China has been spending trillions of dollars to take over the crown jewels of the United States.”

He argued that China does not allow the U.S. to invest in its critical infrastructure. Therefore, “America should not allow China to take over our critical infrastructure,” Trump said.

In addition, the former president highlighted the need for aggressive new restrictions on Chinese ownership of American energy, technology, telecommunications, farmland, natural resources, medical supplies, and other national assets.

Trump illustrated that if America doesn’t restrict China, they will own the U.S.

“If we don’t do this, the United States will be owned by China which would make them very happy,” he said.

Trump’s plan received support from several congressmen. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) praised the former president’s plan.

The Daily Caller reports, “As of now, foreign transactions involving U.S. farmland are required to be disclosed to the USDA, under the 1979 Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act. Failing to do so risks steep fines.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) also expressed he would ban Chinese investment in the U.S. “I don’t want them owning residential developments,” DeSantis said.

The former president concluded his remarks by saying, “When I’m president, I will ensure that America’s future remains firmly in American hands, just as I did when I was president before.”

Donald Trump’s plan would be the next step in the isolation of China from the U.S. Overall, his plan would seek to promote American independence rather than dependence.
