Investigative journalist and author Peter Schweizer has written “Blood Money” a new book exposing China’s involvement in the fentanyl drug crisis and charges that the Biden Administration is not taking the threat seriously. Schweizer said his book exposes the Chinese Communist Party’s covert operations in the American drug trade and medical establishment in as concerted effort to sow chaos in the United States.

According to Harper Publishing, Schweizer and his team of forensic investigators spent more than two years scouring a trove of restricted Chinese military documents, data-mining a mountain of American financial records, and tracking US political leaders’ investments and family businesses.
Schweizer told talk radio and Fox News host Mark Levin this week that in early 2021, there was a congressional commission that reported to the White House there were 2,000 Chinese nationals just south of the border in Mexico.
Schweizer said that these Chinese nationals have been assisting the Mexican cartels with creating fentanyl to smuggle across the border. The report on this issue was issued by the congressional commission in 2021, but rather than taking it as a sign of the scope of the problem, the Biden Administration has done nothing.
“That, to me, is the epitome of negligence, criminal negligence, because what you’re essentially saying is we know this is a systematic effort; we know that fentanyl is coming; we know that tens of thousands of Americans are dying every year,” Schweizer tells Levin, adding, “and our agenda is more important than actually protecting the American people.”
Schweizer’s book states that in the same way that it flipped the Opium Wars of the nineteenth century, China is helping to foment the Fentanyl Wars of the twenty-first century. China is working to weaken the United States by shipping fentanyl to create a public health crisis while putting weapon-enhancing technologies into the hands of felons and criminal gangs.
Schweizer is the host of “The Drill Down” podcast and his books have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list seven times, most recently for his #1 New York Times bestselling book, Red Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win. Three of his previous books, Profiles in Corruption, Secret Empires, and Clinton Cash were also bestsellers.
