Former President Donald Trump wasted no time getting to the root cause of the border crisis during Thursday’s visit to Eagle Pass, Texas. As he heard from upset officials, he put the blame squarely at the feet of the Biden administration.
The 45th president told an appreciative audience that the current occupant of the White House has done immeasurable damage to the U.S.
Trump explained, “What he’s done to our country is he’s destroying our country…the general was saying, he can’t believe what’s happening. They can’t believe it’s so sad.”
Then he detailed the carnage to the nation’s social fabric. “Last year, almost half of all ICE arrests were criminal aliens.” Among the charges were over 33,000 violent attacks, 3,000 robberies, 6,900 burglaries [and] 7,500 weapons crimes.
That was on top of 1,700 homicides and 1,600 kidnappings.
Trump told the border audience that other nations are emptying their jails, prisons, and insane asylums. He also warned that the illegal invasion is littered with terrorists.

It is his clear goal to return sanity to the border situation if he is reelected. However, Trump noted that even if that happens, there is a lot of damage that may be done by the White House and its open border policies in the next nine months.
The damage is so severe that it’s transforming some Democrats into Republicans.
Resident Asalia Casares, 52, told Reuters that she has been a Democrat all her life. However, the migrant crisis that is crippling Eagle Pass caused her considerable worry about the safety of her friends and neighbors.
She cited an incident where three illegal migrants were found hiding behind the home of an elderly neighbor.
Casares said she will likely vote for Trump in November because of his strong stance on illegal migration. She cast her ballot for Biden in 2020. But now, she explained, “if it’s Biden and Trump, that’s a little bit tough because I’m a Democrat, but I don’t like what we’re living.”
While at the border, Trump pledged to resume wall construction and reinstate his successful “Remain in Mexico” policy if elected this year. Non-Mexican migrants were forced to stay to the south of the border while their asylum claims were resolved.
