Pizzeria Worker Critically Injured After Pit Bull Attack In Manhattan

A New York pizzeria worker is in critical condition after being viciously attacked by an unleashed pit bull outside a Manhattan restaurant. The attack occurred Monday evening at Roma Pizza on Fifth Avenue after the employee asked the dog’s owner, Tyshaun Watson, to take his pet outside.

According to witnesses, the situation escalated quickly. Watson reportedly became enraged when asked to leave, stepping behind the counter and striking the worker. The confrontation spilled out onto the street, where Watson’s pit bull attacked the employee. “The dog was on him, biting him,” recounted a co-worker. “After that, [Watson] stomped on him, hit him on his head. He went unconscious.”

The brutal attack continued, with witnesses saying Watson only stopped because he thought the worker was dead. Disturbingly, Watson allegedly berated the dog afterward, telling it it wouldn’t be fed because it didn’t “finish the job.” Following the attack, Watson calmly walked back into the restaurant and waited for police, who quickly arrived and arrested him.

Other employees managed to lock Watson inside the restaurant by securing the doors from the outside until police arrived. Video footage captured the moment Watson was taken into custody, showing that he had a wound on his arm, apparently from his own dog biting him during the chaos.

The victim was rushed to a hospital with severe injuries but is expected to survive. Authorities have since taken the pit bull into custody, though it remains unclear whether the dog will be euthanized. Watson now faces charges of attempted murder, among other possible offenses, as the investigation continues.
