Young Boy With Leukemia Brings Holiday Cheer To Hospitalized Children

Four-year-old Elliott Hole, undergoing treatment for leukemia, delivered more than 400 gift bags filled with toys, advent calendars, and games to brighten the holidays for kids who couldn’t be home for Christmas.

Harley launched the initiative with an Amazon Wishlist, inviting the community to contribute. “The response was overwhelming,” Harley said. “We were able to collect hundreds of gifts, far more than we ever imagined.”

The family distributed the gifts to three hospitals: Royal Marsden in Sutton, Kings College in London, and Princess Royal University in Farnborough. “The nurses were amazed, and the kids’ excitement made it all worthwhile,” Harley shared.

Elliott’s journey began in early 2022 when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Despite the challenges of daily chemotherapy, Harley describes him as “strong and resilient.” She credits his positivity with inspiring their efforts to give back.

Reflecting on the project, Harley said, “Receiving a gift bag like this during Elliott’s toughest days would have meant so much to us. It’s a way to show families they’re not alone.”

As Elliott approaches the end of his treatment in March, the family hopes to make this an annual tradition, bringing holiday joy to more children each year.
