Trump’s DOGE Blocks USAID Officials As Deep State’s Power Crumbles

The Deep State suffered a major blow as President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, successfully seized control of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The agency’s headquarters in Washington was sealed off, leaving top officials locked out and unable to access their own systems.

USAID leadership attempted to resist DOGE’s takeover, but two top security officials, including Director of Security John Voorhees, were immediately placed on leave after refusing to grant access. Over 600 employees were cut off from their computers overnight, and those still inside were told to vacate the building. By morning, the main entrance had been blocked off with yellow police tape, preventing officials from reentering.

Musk celebrated the move on X, calling USAID a “criminal organization” and confirming that Trump had agreed the agency needed to be dismantled. The White House released a statement condemning USAID’s history of unaccountable spending, pointing to massive sums funneled into DEI programs, electric vehicle subsidies, and global LGBTQ outreach initiatives.

Further investigations have exposed USAID’s role in questionable financial dealings, including ties to Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company linked to Hunter Biden. Reports indicate that the agency has also supported efforts to undermine Trump through legal attacks, raising questions about its political motivations. Republicans have long argued that USAID’s $40 billion budget serves entrenched interests rather than actual humanitarian aid.

Democrats and federal employee unions have responded by filing lawsuits against DOGE and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, alleging unauthorized access to sensitive data. Senate Democrats are pressing Secretary of State Marco Rubio for information on how DOGE gained entry to the agency’s classified systems, but with the headquarters locked down and personnel sidelined, their options appear limited.

As DOGE continues its purge of wasteful government spending, USAID’s future remains uncertain. The agency’s website and internal databases have been taken offline, and discussions are underway about merging its operations into the State Department. For now, Trump’s aggressive efforts to dismantle the Deep State are proving highly effective, leaving bureaucrats scrambling for a response.
