Trump Vows To End Biden’s Title IX Rewrite And Ban Men From Women’s Sports

Former President Donald Trump has promised to prohibit men from competing in women’s sports and to overturn President Joe Biden’s Title IX policies. Speaking to radio hosts Clay Travis and Buck Sexton, Trump declared that he would act on these issues “on day one” if re-elected.

Travis shared the announcement on X, noting, “President Trump just pledged to all of us on @clayandbuck that men will not be allowed to compete against women in sports when he is elected president. He promises to take care of it on day one and end Kamala and Biden’s new Title IX policies allowing this to happen.”

Trump reinforced his commitment on Truth Social, stating, “I WILL KEEP MEN OUT OF WOMEN’S SPORTS!”

This promise follows recent controversy at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Italian boxer Angela Carini withdrew from her match against Algerian boxer Imane Khelif. Khelif, who was disqualified from the 2023 world championships in New Delhi due to having “XY chromosomes” and high testosterone levels, faced backlash for competing in women’s sports.

The GOP’s 2024 platform includes measures to prevent trans-identifying males from participating in women’s athletics, reflecting Trump’s pledge. The platform also aims to ban taxpayer funding for sex-change surgeries and stop schools from promoting gender transition, reversing Biden’s Title IX education regulations to restore protections for women and girls.

Trump’s stance aligns with a broader conservative pushback against recent policies allowing transgender individuals to compete in sports categories that align with their gender identity. This policy change has sparked debates about fairness and safety in women’s sports, with Trump positioning himself as a defender of traditional gender norms in athletics.

As the 2024 election approaches, Trump’s commitment to this issue is likely to resonate with conservative voters who are concerned about the impact of current policies on women’s sports and education.
