Tim Kennedy Blasts Biden’s Hurricane Helene Response As A ‘Photo Op’

In a striking critique, Tim Kennedy, a U.S. Army Green Berets Master Sergeant, condemned President Joe Biden’s actions during Hurricane Helene relief efforts, accusing him of prioritizing a “photo op” over effective rescue missions. Kennedy, who has a history of humanitarian work, including assistance during the Afghanistan withdrawal, voiced his concerns on Fox News.

He reported that Biden’s arrival resulted in a “No Fly” zone that halted rescue operations. “We had to land helicopters to not go rescue people so a photo op could take place,” he stated, calling this situation “a travesty and that’s unconscionable.”

Kennedy traveled to the Southeast with his organization, Save Our Allies, to help those impacted by the hurricane. However, he expressed disappointment in the federal response, saying, “My heart is full to see Americans rise to the occasion like they always do, but it’s not our responsibility to have to go and answer the call like this.”

He questioned the absence of an organized federal command center for disaster response, asking, “Where is the federal response and the plan?” President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have both made visits to the affected areas, but critics argue that these actions came too late.

As reported by CNN, the death toll from Hurricane Helene has tragically climbed to 227 across six states. Kennedy’s criticism aligns with that of other political leaders, such as Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, who expressed alarm over the lack of federal leadership during this crisis.
