President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign is reportedly seeking the endorsement of prominent pop singer and abortion advocate Taylor Swift.
The New York Times reported that with the 2024 election nearing, Biden’s aides have been drafting plans to garner endorsements from high-profile people.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, conservative commentator Jack Posobiec pointed out, “BREAKING: NY Times is reporting this morning that the Biden’s campaign is working on a ‘Taylor Strategy’ which includes having him appear at the Taylor Swift Eras tour this fall just before the election.”

Swift is at the top of the endorsement wish list for the Biden campaign, according to the New York Times.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), considered a suitable replacement for the president in the 2024 election, has called on Swift to be involved in the race.
“Taylor Swift stands tall and unique. What she was able to accomplish just in getting young people activated to consider that they have a voice and that they should have a choice in the next election, I think, is profoundly powerful,” the California governor said in September 2023 while speaking to reporters.
The New York Times said the Biden campaign is desperate to receive Swift’s endorsement, noting that it asks potential employers to articulate their strategy to obtain the singer’s support in social media job applications.
The newspaper said one idea shared included having the president attend Swift’s Eras Tour, scheduled for fall 2024.
Multiple conservative commentators have claimed that Swift is the Biden campaign’s strategy to reelect the president in 2024.

Swift has played a massive role in helping Democrats. In 2020, swift endorsed Biden. A single post from her led to 35,000 new voter registrations at the time. The Washington Examiner pointed out that a post or effort from the singer could raise millions of dollars for Biden’s reelection campaign.
Biden has struggled in polls against his likely challenger, former President Donald Trump. A recent survey by Ipsos showed the former president defeating Biden by six percentage points in the upcoming presidential election.
