A new poll from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) reveals a close race among Muslim voters between Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and Green Party candidate Jill Stein. According to CAIR’s findings, Stein leads slightly with 42% of the Muslim vote, while Harris follows closely with 41%.
The poll indicates that 10% of Muslim voters support President Donald Trump, while 5.4% do not plan to vote, and less than 1% back Libertarian nominee Chase Oliver. The survey underscores significant engagement from Muslim voters in this election, with 95% saying they intend to vote.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations released its final 2024 presidential election survey on Friday, showing a statistical tie between Green Party nominee Dr. Jill Stein and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris among Muslim voters.

Nihad Awad, CAIR’s National Executive Director, highlighted the importance of this turnout. “This final national poll of American Muslim voters confirms that our community members are deeply engaged in the 2024 election,” Awad said, adding that many Muslim voters are influenced by the U.S. stance on the conflict in Gaza. Awad encouraged voters to “make your voices heard and show the strength of our community.”
Stein’s running mate, Butch Ware, has also gained attention. Ware, a history professor at the University of California Santa Barbara and a Black Muslim, has been outspoken in his opposition to Zionism, calling it a “white supremacist” movement. Stein selected Ware as her vice-presidential pick in August.
