In a surprising twist, Nicole Shanahan, the vice-presidential running mate of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has hinted that they may withdraw from the presidential race and endorse President Donald Trump, citing sabotage from the Democratic Party. Speaking on Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu, Shanahan expressed frustration over what she described as coordinated efforts by Democrats to undermine their campaign.
Shanahan outlined the difficult choices they face: continue their independent run and potentially split the vote, helping Kamala Harris, or drop out and back Trump to prevent a Harris administration. “We walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump … and we explain to our base why we’re making this decision,” Shanahan said, adding that it is a tough decision but one that might be necessary.
During the interview, Shanahan detailed the alleged sabotage tactics, including shadowbanning, exclusion from debates, and legal challenges orchestrated by the DNC-aligned Clear Choice PAC. She claimed the PAC spent millions to disrupt their campaign and turn them into a spoiler. Despite these efforts, Shanahan emphasized that their intention was never to be a spoiler candidate, but to win and bring meaningful change to the country.
Shanahan noted that she sees a stronger future for the country under Trump’s leadership compared to Harris. “I trust the future of this country more under Trump than under Harris,” she said, highlighting her concerns about the direction of the Democratic Party.
The Harris campaign quickly dismissed any possibility of engaging with the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket, branding them as a “MAGA-funded fringe candidate.”
If Shanahan and RFK Jr. do decide to endorse Trump, it could lead to a significant realignment of voters, with both independent and conservative factions potentially uniting behind Trump.
