BrieAnn Battle a mother from Los Angeles is demanding answers and accountability from Kinder Kids Christian Preschool after a disturbing video emerged showing an employee roughly handling her 4-year-old son. The surveillance footage from March 14 reveals the employee grabbing the boy’s arms pinning him to the ground by his wrists and dangling him upside down by his ankles.

Battle told local news station ABC 7 that she was “distraught” upon viewing the video which was shown to her by another preschool employee. She immediately contacted the school’s owner to arrange a meeting and discuss her son’s treatment. Despite attempting to give the owner the “benefit of the doubt” and have a serious “mother-to-mother, woman-to-woman” discussion, Battle reported that the owner denied everything which she found “sickening.”

The owner even went as far as showing Battle a different video of her son being treated correctly by the same employee which the mother believes was an attempted coverup. “The owner-operator showed me the clip from when she took him out into the foyer, and that’s when he was giving her a lot of activity so she thought that was going to be, I guess, a better angle,” Battle explained.

Battle has since filed a police report accusing the daycare of harming her child and is pursuing legal action against the school. The employee who reportedly mistreated Battle’s son has resigned according to a statement from Kinder Kids Christian Preschool. However, Battle argues that the owner’s attempted coverup should have consequences stating, “For that matter, she doesn’t need to be taking care of anybody else’s kids, and her license needs to be revoked.”on ABC 7, BrieAnn Battle explained that she was “distraught” when she saw a video of a Kinder Kids Christian Preschool employee roughly handling her child. The surveillance footage showed the employee of the central Los Angeles preschool grabbing the four-year-old boy by his arms and pinning both arms to the ground by his wrists.

During the incident, which took place on March 14, the employee also yanked the boy off the ground by both ankles and carried him upside down while dangling the child in the air.

“Nobody wants to see their child being manhandled like that at all,” Battle told the news station.

The mother told ABC 7 that she was shown the video by another employee at the preschool — prompting her to get in contact with the school’s owner to hold a meeting and demand answers about her son’s treatment.

While she attempted to give the owner-operator of the preschool the “benefit of the doubt” at the start of the meeting — as she wanted to have a serious “mother-to-mother, woman-to-woman” discussion to figure out what happened — Battle has reported that the owner is “denying everything, and it’s sickening.”

Beyond denying what Battle saw with her own two eyes, the owner had the audacity to show the mother a different video of her son being treated correctly by the same employee — and Battle believes that this was an attempted coverup.

“The owner-operator showed me the clip from when she took him out into the foyer, and that’s when he was giving her a lot of activity so she thought that was going to be, I guess, a better angle,” the mother told the outlet.

Battle has since filed a police report accusing the daycare of harming her child, as she does not foresee the owner cooperating willingly to address her concerns.

“How dare … you know, how dare you? And then she’s avoiding accountability, so it’s turned very criminal,” she explained to the outlet.

Meanwhile, the employee who reportedly manhandled Battle’s child has since resigned, according to a statement given to ABC 7 by the Kinder Kids Christian Preschool.

Despite the resignation, Battle is continuing to pursue legal action against the school, arguing that the owner’s attempted coverup should have consequences.

“For that matter, she doesn’t need to be taking care of anybody else’s kids, and her license needs to be revoked,” she told the news station.

Battle has retained a lawyer and is vowing to ensure that nothing like this happens to another child at the preschool.

“She needs to go to jail for this,” she stated.
