The Treasury Department has, at last, relented, now saying it will grant the House Oversight Committee access to investigate suspicious reports that potentially implicate Hunter Biden.

Originally, committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) had sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in January calling for the agency to release information surrounding suspicious business transactions of the Biden family that had been highlighted by U.S. banks.
Convert went after the Treasury Department over its alleged stonewalling of the investigation last month, accusing the agency of hindering Republican investigation against the Biden administration and âoperating in bad faith.â
Now, the Treasury has said it will give the committee âin-camera accessâ to the requested content.
âAfter two months of dragging their feet, the Treasury Department is finally providing us with access to the suspicious activity reports for the Biden family and their associatesâ business transactions,â said Comer. âIt should never have taken us threatening to hold a hearing and conduct a transcribed interview with an official under the penalty of perjury for Treasury to finally accommodate part of our request.â
As was reported by OANN, Comer has been pushing the Treasury to provide the information since he sent his letter in January. After having his requests initially not granted, he was weighing making the Treasury Department assistant secretary for legislative affairs, Jonathan Davidson, appear for a transcribed interview surrounding why the department is not granting their request. Now that the treasury has said it will do so, the interview has been postponed.
Comer claimed Congress âhas had access to these reports but the Biden administration changed the rules out of the blue to restrict our ability to conduct oversight.â
The House committee chairman appeared with Fox News to discuss the revelations, assuring show host Jesse Watters that he and other Republicans âare just gonna keep following the money.â
âI can assure you, thereâs something there, and everyone knows it now,â he said.
He noted that the Biden family has received numerous transactions from people directly linked with the Chinese communist party, routed via an LLC.
I have Biden family financial records. There is a money trail.@WhiteHouse denied it.
Democrats denied it.There is no denying it now & @USTreasury knows it. That's why they caved. @GOPoversight will now have access to Biden family suspicious activity reports. @JesseBWatters pic.twitter.com/9xXPw69F9r
