Former FBI Lawyer Helped Censor Hunter Biden Laptop Bombshell

In a startling revelation, former FBI lawyer James Baker is now connected to both spying on the campaign of former President Donald Trump and the widespread suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Baker was critical in approving the erroneous Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant that led to surveillance of the Trump campaign. Now, he is implicated in a series of tweets published by Rolling Stone concerning the censorship of the laptop controversy just weeks before the 2020 election.

After Friday’s release of the so-called “Twitter Files” by Elon Musk, it is becoming more clear by the day the extent of the suppression of the New York Post expose in Oct. 2020.

According to Matt Taibbi, Rolling Stone contributing editor, the Friday release points directly to Twitter executives working with Biden officials to bury the story.

And they buried it.

Twitter effectively treated the New York Post release in the same manner it did child pornography and other vile materials. The revelation was censored so heavily that it could not even be shared on the platform privately between two individuals.

The newly-released tweets show that Baker, who at that time was Twitter’s Deputy General Counsel, declared the evidence for the Post article “may have been” the result of hacking. He called this a reasonable assumption and urged caution moving forward.

He acknowledged the laptop may have in fact been abandoned and consent given to the repair shop to access it. However, this was countered with agreement that “some facts” indicate the materials were tampered with.

The somewhat cautionary approach taken by Baker with the Biden laptop, faulty as it was, is a far cry from his approach to the FISA warrant that enabled the federal agency to spy on the Trump campaign.

It is now well established that Baker failed in due diligence when the former FBI General Counsel was lied to concerning evidence linking the former president to the Kremlin.

In 2019, Baker revealed to House investigators his level of personal involvement in the warrant to spy on then-Trump campaign aide Carter Page. The basis for this action was the wholly-unverified dossier presented by Christopher Steele.

It was found to be funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign using her law firm, Perkins Cole.

As Republicans prepare to assume control of the U.S. House in January, there are now numerous pledges to hold those who suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story accountable. The actions of James Baker appear to be a great place to begin.
